GHS Labels

Chemical manufacturers need to comply with stringent regulations when storing and shipping their products in drums. GHS (Globally Harmonized System) regulations require that the labels on these drums remain affixed and legible, even if the drum is submerged in seawater for up to three months. These labels play a crucial role in ensuring that anyone who comes into contact with the drum can readily identify the substance stored inside and take the necessary precautions.

GHS labels are designed to communicate important information such as the identity of the hazardous chemical, pictograms indicating the nature of the hazards, signal words, hazard statements, and precautionary statements. These labels must be printed using pre-approved printers to ensure that they are durable and meet regulatory requirements.

At Wise, we understand the importance of GHS labels and offer custom label solutions that comply with BS 5609 and GHS regulations. We use high-quality materials and adhesives to create labels that can withstand harsh environments such as extreme temperatures, handling and abrasion, UV exposure, chemical exposure, and submersion in seawater. If you will be printing GHS labels in-house, we can recommend the right combination of printer, ribbons, and substrates to meet your exact specifications.

We are experts in the most challenging GHS label applications. Our professional customer service staff is dedicated to meeting your immediate needs and providing you with the highest quality products at extremely competitive prices.
